                     Chapter 1:

                   the first meeting?

 

Rikku was walking through a forest when he spotted a beautiful she-wolf, her white fur stained with gorgeous blue streaks. He walked over to her, and she asked his name, “What is your name, stranger?”, she asked calmly.

“Rikku”, he replied. Rikku was cross with his tail, as it started to seep to his leg with shyness, mimicking his emotion.

Rikku wondered why the she-wolf had not introduced herself. And as if that wasn’t confusing enough, every time he asked for her name, she pretended not to hear and went on to a different topic. “Why won’t you tell me you name?” he growled impatiently, at this point he was a bit miffed.

She stood without a word coming from her mouth. Just  a couple of seconds ago it seemed like she would never stop that *O.B of hers. Rikku was really angry now “Is your name really so important that you can’t tell me?!”

she stood there shocked, as if he had said he had committed a murder crime. Rikku was growing tired of trying to get her name from her, so he decided that he would settle down at an old house they had found. The she-wolf chose to settle down too.

 

The next morning Rikku awoke to find the she-wolf gone.

~i don’t blame her, especially after yesterday’s events...not to mention, i’m a stranger~  Rikku thought dreadfully. ~well, my best bet is to get back to luna, before she comes looking for me~

Rikku walked out of the old abandoned house, only to see the she-wolf coming back with a deer between her teeth, “were you about to come looking for me?” Asked the she-wolf, Rikku stared at her, “uh, no i had to get going before luna starts looking for me”

The she-wolf stared at Rikku, “Luna?” Rikku didn’t want to explain something to someone who wouldn’t even tell him there name. “Why don’t you tell me your name, then i’ll tell you who luna is” the she-wolf hesitated “M-Moonglow.....my name is moonglow...” Rikku was shocked, this sneaky little she-wolf was his childhood friend?! “What?!” moonglow jumped back “...s-sorry for not telling you before...i was trying to avoid telling you” Rikku was miffed again “Why?” moonglow jumped again “I-I wanted to see if you would recognize me......and i also wanted to make sure you were the real Rikku...i mean you look completely different, y-you have red markings on you now”

“What about you?! You’re covered in blue markings!” yowled Rikku.

“Rikku please stop screaming, i didn’t mean to upset you”

Rikku was overreacting, eventually he started to cool off “s-sorry, i was just surprised”

“You call that surprised!? You seemed more miffed than surprised!” growled Moonglow.

“Ok, now you need to cool off” said Rikku holding in laughter.

“And what are you laughing about!” Moonglow pounced on Rikku. They played for a while then got tired. When they stopped they laughed their heads off. “i missed playing with you like this Rikku” said moonglow with a hint of sadness in her voice, “me too” Rikku felt a bit sad too, only to feel happy a second later “We should do this more often” Moonglows eye’s sparkled a bit “yeah!” Rikku suddenly realized how long they had played “oh no!” said Rikku “what is it Rikku?” Moonglows eye’s grew worried. “You know the wolf i was talking about earlier?”

“yeah?” moonglow tipped her head to the side in confusion “Luna was her name right?”

“yeah...anyways she’s been taking care of me all this time, we just got in a fight and i ran off....I bet she’s worried about me” Rikku felt guilty now, ~I better go back right now!~ “I-I got to go!” Rikku said as he dashed off.

“Wait! I’ll come with you!” Moonglow chased after him.

They reached an old tree and stopped.
